Titan Fitness T-3 Power Rack Review
The best $499 power rack — but know exactly what you're buying.
Cooper tested the Titan T-3 extensively as a budget recommendation for home gym builders on a constrained budget.
What You Get at $499
The Titan T-3 uses 3x3" 11-gauge steel uprights — the same specification as Rogue RML-690C ($1,595) and REP PR-4000 ($795). At $499, you're getting commercial-grade steel at a budget price. The 700 lb rated capacity covers every home gym athlete except competitive powerlifters at elite levels.
The compromises versus premium options: 83" height (vs. 90" for Rogue/REP — a consideration for tall users), 2" hole spacing throughout (vs. 5/8" Westside spacing in the bench zone on premium racks), and slightly less consistent QC. We inspected 3 T-3 units across our testing period and found minor weld inconsistencies on one unit that didn't affect structural function.
For a beginner building their first home gym on a $1,000–1,500 total budget, the T-3 is the right call. Spend the $1,000 you save vs. Rogue on a barbell, plates, and a bench. As your strength and investment capacity grow, you can always upgrade.
- ✓ Best price for 3x3 11-gauge construction ($499)
- ✓ 700 lb capacity covers most home gym use
- ✓ Fast shipping from US warehouses
- ✓ Good starter rack for serious lifters
- × 83 inch height limits overhead work for tall users
- × 2 inch hole spacing throughout — less precise than Westside
- × QC less consistent than Rogue/REP
- × Smaller accessory ecosystem
Verdict: The best budget power rack available. Buy it if you're starting out or on a tight budget. Upgrade to REP or Rogue when you're ready to invest more. See full power rack comparison.
